Being cooped up for the winter makes us crave not only the warmth but the smell of summer. If you can’t afford a tropical vacation, visit one of our local greenhouses to find many houseplants known for their deliciously fragrant flowers or scented foliage.
A bit of history on the House by the side of the road: We are a year round garden center with a lovely gift shop. This business was started in 1971 and we've been at our current location since 1976. We sell houseplants, annuals, perennials, shrubbery, hanging baskets, pottery, fairy garden plants and many accessories.
Our knowledgeable staff is always available to help you choose what will work best for your property and your home. With our years of experience, you can be rest assured that your home, garden and landscaping will be the best it can be!

Please feel free to come in & explore our greenhouses. In the winter months HBTSOTR provides a short tropical escape from the NH weather. We have inside and outdoor ponds with our pet turtles, koi, and goldfish. Free popcorn and hot coffee, we hope to see you soon!

We have cut flowers in beautiful bouquets & lovely centerpieces.
We have smaller gifts & trinkets for any occasion you can give as a special surprise too! Everyone loves flowers, for youngsters, maybe something for your little one to give to their favorite family member when you visit.
We already have primrose for sale that we grow ourselves and pansy baskets are being planted now.
